THE MINISTER OF COMMUNICATION CALLS ON PUBLISHERS AND DISTRIBUTORS TO COMPLY TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE 1990 SOCIAL COMMUNICATION LAW

Minister, Rene Emmanuel Sadi has called on publishers and distributors to more than ever before respect the December 1990 law on the Freedom of Social Communication. This aforementioned law among other provisions states publishers deposit two signed copies of every newspaper at the external or central services of the Ministry of Communication no later than two hours after publication. The law also requires foreign media outlets deposit two copies of newspapers at the ministry of communication, at least 24 hours before making them  go public.

The concerned foreign media  are hereby informed that the said deposits should be made at the central services of the Ministry of Communication, notably at the department of Private Media Development and Advertising. To that effect, register has been opened for this purpose and receipts will be made available for every deposit.
