Military liberates nine hostages in Pinyin, says Bamenda - Babadjou road is secured

Freed hostages Nine young men kidnapped on the night of April 11, 2021 by separatist fighters in Pinyin, a locality in Santa Subdivision, Mezam Division of the North West region have been freed by security and defense forces during a targeted operation they carried out. According to the commander of the 5th Joint military region, Brigadier General Nka Valere, two separatist fighters were also killed and many others injured. The operations he said came as a result of threats from separatist fighters to block circulation along the Bamenda - Babadjou road.
