Governor Adolphe Lele L'afrique calls on the population to respect the 13 measures to fight against COVID 19 Governor Adolphe Lele L'Afrique has called on the population of the Northwest region today Tuesday, 31st March 2020 to do all to respect and implement the 13 measures put in place by the Government of Cameroon and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. This was his key message at every stop of his tour around some travel agencies and markets in the region. The governor equally commended the effort of the medical team that has been at the entrance of matazem since Saturday the 21st of March to screen all passengers entering the region and declared that the screening exercise is for everybody, the drivers, passengers, civil servants, security men and women etc, no one excluded. PARLIAMENTARY RE-RUN: MINISTER ATANGA NJI CALLS ON ALL TO BUILD THE NATION

Minister atangi nji exercising his Civic duty MINAT boss, minister  Atanga Nji and North West governor, Adolphe Lele Lafrique   joined some of the electorates of Bamenda up station polling centre this morning to exercise their Civic duty in respect to the February 9th parliamentary re-run. It Should be noted that after the  9th February twin municipal and legislative elections, some  opposition parties like the  United Democratic party (UDP) of Lawan Bako's and Ni John Fru Ndi's  Social Democratic Front (SDF)  filed in petitions. These petitions were attended to by the constitutional council, in late February and a re-run of the parliamentary elections in some Constituencies of the North West region of Cameroon was announced. NORTH WEST REGIONAL DELEGATE OF HEALTH LAUNCHES SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST CORONA VIRUS

Over 3000 passengers entering the town of Bamenda have been screened for the Corona virus following a health sensitization campaign carried out, this Saturday March 21st 2020 by the North West Regional delegate of Health Doctor che Kingsley Soh and his team of experts. The regional Delegate of Public Health NW  The sensitization campaign and screening exercise took place at Matazem Santa, Northwest Region, with a team of medical experts led by the NW Regional Delegate of health who screened passengers of all the Buses entering the town, an exercise that began at about 4am.  The aim of the outing was to sensitize the passengers on all the measures they need to respect to avoid the virus and the measures put in the place by the government to stay free of the virus, for instance, no overcrowding, respect social distancing, always wash your hands with running water and soap, and in case of any suspected symptoms, get to the hospital immediately.  The regional delegate eq

Matiang Charles Alain explaing to the generals details of the operations Over 20 Amba fighteers have been neutralized and their camps destroyed by Elements of Cameroon's defense forces  under the command of Colonel Matiang Charles Alain commander of the 51st Motorized  infantry Brigade.  Following different separatist attacks in Galim, Kouchong, Baminjim, Bangorain, targeting police and gendarmerie posts recently, soldiers on special operation descended to these localities to fish out the seperatist fighters. These attacks led to the death of at least 8 persons (4 elements of defense and security force and 4 civilians). In response, a special operation was carried out in the villages of Bangolan, Babessi and Bambalang and it's environs  in the Ngoketunjia division to fish out the pepetrators.  As a  result of  the special operation, 11 Ambazonia Terrorist camps were destroyed in the mentioned villages and it's environs, over 20 Amba terrorists including the so
