NEW SECRETARY GENERAL AT CAMEROON'S NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

New Secretary General, Gaston Komba Former CPDM Member of Parliament for the Nkam, Littoral region of Cameroon, Gaston Komba is the new Secretary General of the National Assembly of Cameroon. He was appointed Tuesday April 14, 2020 through a decree signed the speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril. Former Secretary General,Geoffroy Desire Mbock He replaces Geoffroy Desire Mbock sacked in June 2019 after spending less than a year at the helm of the Gerenal Secretariat of Cameroon’s lower house of parliament. Former CPDM Member of Parliament for the Nkam in the Littoral region of Cameroon had spent two mandates at the National Assembly and is thus accustomed to the house. He is well known for the sensitization and promotion of public services and programmes in favour of youths and children through a Parliamentary network called REJE. Confirmed COVID 19 Case in the North West Region

The regional delegate of health for the North West, Dr Che Kingsley Soh announces first confirmed case of COVID 19 in the region in Andek a locality in the North West region. The lady (names withheld) came in from Kenya and escaped quarantine. Later she moved to Bamenda via public transport and to mbengwi. With the aid of a bike, she moved to her village Ngie. The news was made official during the regional COVID19 assessment meeting of Monday April 6th 2020 presided over by the chairman of the committee for the fight against COVID 19 in the region, Governor Lele Lafrique to assess the health situation of the region. Currently the pandemic has eaten into five (Centre, Littoral, West, South West and North West) out of ten regions of the republic of Cameroon. North West Region records its first confirmed case of COVID 19

Dr Che Kingsley Soh presenting the health state of the region The regional delegate of health for the North West, Dr Che Kingsley Soh announces first confirmed case of COVID 19 in the region in Andek sub Division (Ngie) of Momo division. She is a woman (names withheld) who came in from Kenya and escaped quarantine in Douala, then travelled to bamenda, then to mbengwi, from where she took a bike to her natal village, Ngie, in Andek sub division.  The news was made official during the regional COVID 19 assessment meeting of Monday April 6th 2020 presided over by Governor Lele Lafrique to assess the health situation of the region, update the population on the state of the pandemic in the region and take crucial measures on fighting the pandemic in the region.
